EXTRA is founded in 1997 and offers a wide variety on courses.
Most of them are based in (the NE of) Holland, as some other courses are held abroad in the SW of Scotland as well as Namibia.

BUSHCRAFT
Our goal is to increase Nature Awareness. It is our firm belief that bushcraft is a very good way to do so.
As you gain more knowledge of your natural surrounding, the more you will understand 'what goes on in Nature'.
The more knowledge, the more respect and love you will develop.
Mind you: nature is not sacred to us. As you take full part of it, this also means that you have to 'take' whenever necessary.
Respect is shown by the way you do this instead of ignoring essential survival skills.

COURSES EXTRA offers weekendcourses which cover a specific subject (e.g. 'Fire & Shelter') up to weeklong courses. The 'Basiscursus' (Foundation) covers a series of subjects during a week where you gain more knowledge while in return leave some of your comfort behind. This Foundation is a condition to join other weekcourses like the 'Vervolg' (Continuation) as well as the 'Over-Leven' (where you actually live of the land). These last two take place in the SW of Scotland. Another special course is with the Bushmen in Namibia, where they will be our teachers! OUR TEAM At the moment the EXTRA team is 8 people, instructors and assistants, in total. All have joined the 'Over-Leven' course, which is a tremendous rewarding course where you learn a lot about  survival/bushcraft in a realistic scenario (living of the land with hardly any equipment).   JOIN OUR COURSES? In the past some students from abroad (Germany, Scotland) joined our courses. Although language might seem a barrier, it is possible to do so. Please contact us if you have any questions about this!
